-Greeting-
When I was a boy, I have seen a school of flying fish in my hometown.
Their appearance full of energy and life still appeals to me, and makes my pictures what it is now.
I am sometimes told that the tone of my picture has something in common with that of Karatsu-Yaki,
which is Japanese traditional pottery. I should have been influenced by it unconsciously,
for there are several kiln of Karatsu-Yaki near my home.
In the sea, there are so many dramatic lives, and people living there have their own stories.
I have been talking to the sea itself for more than fifty years,
and still trying to put its infinite power and greatness into space, motion and light on the canvas.

I have sometimes held a private exhibition, but never looked back on my works from the beginning.
And now I have a chance to exhibit all of my works in a hall to commemorate
the publishing of my collection. I hope it to be the first step to my next stage.
I deeply appreciate for the great support of my acquaintance,
and wish that many people pay a visit to the exhibiton.
